In case you didn’t catch it, the FCC released its Open Internet Order on March 12th. Not only do these new rules help preserve a free and open internet, but IPAT’s reply comment on behalf of IDA was directly cited to by the FCC in support of its decision!
The FCC specifically cited IPAT’s discussion of how certain activities of ISPs fit into the “management exception” built into the definition of a telecommunications service and are thus better categorized as telecommunications services rather than information services.
