Law students in them UCI Intellectual Property, Arts, and Technology Clinic work to support innovation and creative expression in the digital age. In the Clinic, students advise and represent clients on a range of matters dealing with copyright, patent, privacy, First Amendment, and media law, among other areas. Through this work, they gain important legal skills while examining the role of the public interest in intellectual property and technology law.
In 2016, the Clinic won a California Lawyer Attorney of the Year award for its work on behalf of filmmakers and authors.
